Anemonefish are not the only
creatures that are symbiotic with sea anemones. This
small anemone shrimp is plainly in view among the
tentacles, though often they are not quite so visible
because they usually hide underneath or in-between the
tentacles. Other symbionts may include crabs (see picture
of "porcelain
crabs") and damselfish. Additionally,
sea anemones are brimming with microscopic algae which
provide a source of food (see an explanation of this
relationship on the "healthy
coral colony" page).
