This view shows a little better view of the five fantail segments, each with an orange spot outlined in black. This is a common anemone shrimp in the Philippines and Indo-Pacific, though not nearly so commonly observed as some smaller anemone shrimp such as Periclimenes holthuisi. Also viewable here are the forward two small periopods (walking legs, though sometimes adapted for grasping or crushing) modified with small pincers, like the larger chelipeds.
