And now for something completely different-- this is a view from the deck of the Sankisan Maru, a sunken wreck at Truk Lagoon, from a depth of about 70 feet. A series of raids by American forces on the small Truk island chain in April 1944 resulted in nearly 60 shipwrecks, composed mostly of cargo ships. Truk, now known as Chuuk, is located about 500 nautical miles southeast of Guam in the central Pacific Ocean.
